About Howard Waste Recycling
Howard Waste Recycling (HWR) is a dedicated wood recycling centre based on a large purpose-built site in Edmonton, north London.
We use the latest wood processing machinery – which markedly improves the quality of the wood chip by removing contaminants – and our wood recycling capacity is in excess of 100,000 tonnes per year. With excellent transport links to the North Circular Road (A406), Meridian Way, M11 and M25 our spacious and modern site can accommodate all articulated vehicles and a commitment towards a fast turnaround means that customers and suppliers are not left waiting to load or un-load.
HWR holds a waste management license and is a registered waste carrier. We are also a member of the Wood Recycling Association.

Our History
Our 40 year heritage as a licensed waste transfer operator provided us with a thorough understanding of waste management but as attitudes towards the environment and social responsibility altered and government legislation surrounding waste changed, so did we. The Landfill Directive changed the way the UK handled waste forever and in 2007 we decided to specialise in recycling waste wood. Each year we recycle in excess of 100,000 tonnes of unwanted and waste wood which would have ended up in landfill.
